2019-20

You might be into Afrobeat, drill, hip hop, drum & bass or classical; perhaps you’re a writer, animator, film-maker or dancer? Affricerdd is all about building connections and exploring the diversity of music and cultures we have in Wales. We will look at genres that influence communities across Wales, from Afrobeat to Bhangra, and Malian Blues to Welsh folk music.

Sessions at TÅ· Cerdd Studio in Wales Millennium Centre (between Radio Platfform & Ffresh) for adults aged 18 to 35. Weekly, on Wednesdays 7-9pm, from 15 January to 18 March (10 weeks) plus the summer term – 8 weeks starting 22 April, ending 10 June 2020.

Lead artists vocalist Tumi Williams (Afrocluster) and composer/performer Helen Woods will host: there’ll be music and discussion – plus an exciting line-up of guest artists!

Come along – bring an instrument, a voice, or just your imagination. Participate, talk, listen!
