Tŷ Cerdd – Music Centre Wales has a growing membership of over 20,000 musicians, represented by over 300 music ensembles throughout all parts of Wales.

Member organisations range from small, community-based performing societies to those of national and (particularly in their own genre) international significance.

Although the oldest of these traces its formation to 1782, the majority of these societies were formed in the last 40 years.

In addition to services provided generally, Ty Cerdd supports members specifically through:

  • artistic, legal and administrative guidance;
  • targeted financial support for artistic activity which "pushes the boundaries" of performers and audiences (including the commissioning of new music particularly in support of Welsh composers and composers working in Wales);
  • equipment purchases and repair;
  • rehearsal workshops and bursaries.
  • library catalogues and repertoire lists;
  • promotion of events on website and exhibition area at WMC;
  • performance monitoring and data collection.
