At the end of each calendar year, the Federation invites choirs and instrumental groups to submit details of the music purchases made during the previous twelve months (Form R2). A grant may then be made based upon an agreed percentage of the cost of the music purchased. The aim of this form of assistance is to encourage the performance of new repertoire. The cost of single copies is not normally considered, as this may imply photocopying is taking place.

In the case of larger scale works or non-traditional repertoire, the Federation will consider the purchase of copies for its own Lending Library, either directly, or on the basis of reimbursing the performing society with two-thirds of the cost of music scores passed on to the Federation once the performance has taken place.

Yn achos gweithau mwy o faint neu repertoire nad yw’n draddodiadol, bydd y Ffederasiwn yn ystyried prynu copïau ar gyfer ei Lyfrgell Fenthyg ei hun, naill ai’n uniongyrchol, neu ar sail ad-dalu’r gymdeithas sy’n perfformio ddwy ran o dair cost y sgorau cerddorol a drosglwyddwyd i’r Ffederasiwn unwaith y bydd y perfformiad wedi digwydd.
