Rehearsal Travel Expenses for Conductors / Accompanists

At the end of each calendar year, the Federation invites male and ladies' choirs to submit details of the mileage travelled to and from rehearsal by their conductor / accompanist in the previous twelve months (Form R3). A grant may then be made based upon an agreed amount per mile above a certain number (usually high) of miles travelled.

The aim of this form of assistance is to enable the choir to increase the honorarium it is able to offer to a conductor/accompanist in order to attract those with greater musical and training ability. It applies particularly, though not exclusively, to choirs in rural areas, where conductors and accompanists may need to travel longer distances.

Costau teithio i ymarferion ar gyfer arweinwyr / cyfeilyddion

Ar ddiwedd pob blwyddyn galendr, mae’r Ffederasiwn yn gwahodd corau meibion a chorau merched i gyflwyno manylion am y milltiroedd a deithiwy (Ffurflen R3). Wedyn o bosibl, dyfernir grant yn seiliedig ar swm a gytunwyd am bob milltir uwchlaw nifer penodol (uchel fel arfer) o filltiroedd a deithiwyd.

Nod y dull hwn o gynorthwyo yw galluogi’r côr i gynyddu’r honorariwm y mae’n gallu ei gynnig i arweinydd/gyfeilydd er mwyn denu’r rhai sydd â mwy o allu cerddorol a’r gallu fel hyfforddwyr. Mae’n arbennig o gymwys, er nad yn gyfan gwbl felly, i gorau mewn ardaloedd gwledig, lle y bydd angen i arweinwyr a chyfeilyddion deithio ‘n bellach o bosibl.
