W.S.Gwynn Williams Award
We invite member societies to submit nominations for the annual W.S.Gwynn Williams Award. The award, (of £750), established in memory of the Federation's founder-chairman, is presented to the society that, in the opinion of the Federation’s Chairman, has made the greatest progress in or contribution to amateur music-making in Wales in the previous two years. Any affiliated society may be nominated, or may nominate itself, and the Director, in association with the appropriate specialist representatives on the Executive Committee will, if necessary, prepare a short list for the final decision.

It should be stressed that the Federation is not necessarily looking for the 'best' society (whatever that may mean) but rather one which has made the greatest progress in fulfilling its potential in raising standards of music-making, presentation, recruitment and administrative efficiency. The value of the society to its local community will also be taken into consideration.

Gwobr W.S. Gwynn Williams
Gwahoddir cymdeithasau argymell enwebiadau ar gyfer gwobr flynyddol W.S. Gwynn Williams. Sefydlwyd y wobr (£750) er cof sylfaenydd-cadeirydd y Ffederasiwn, er mwyn cydnabod y gymdeithas sydd wedi dangos y cynnydd gorau yn enw cerddoriaeth amatur yng Nghymru dros y ddwy flynedd diwethaf. Gallai unrhyw gymdeithas gysylltiedig gael ei enwebu, neu enwebu’i hunain, a pharatoir rhestr fer gan Arweinydd a Phwyllgor Gweithredol y Ffederasiwn cyn y penderfyniad terfynol, ar ôl yr angen.

Pwysleisir nid y gymdeithas ‘gorau’ (beth bynnag ydyw) y mae’r Ffederasiwn yn chwilio amdani, ond yn hytrach yr un a gyflawnodd ei photensial o ran codi safonau a chyflwyniadau cerddorol, hybu, ac effeithiolrwydd gweinyddol. Ystyrier hefyd gwerth y gymdeithas i’w chymuned leol.
