Opportunity for Younger Singers

Date:26 January 2017
The National Youth Training Choir of Wales has vacancies in its alto, tenor and bass sections for its 2017 course. It’s looking to recruit young singers, aged 12 – 17 for its 6 day residency at Monmouth School for Girls during the Easter holidays.

The NYTCW provides the ideal introduction to the joys of singing in a SATB choir and in addition to rehearsing and performing together, its members have the opportunity to participate in individual singing lessons and workshops as well as full programme of social and sporting activities.

Directed by Elisabeth Toye, the Training Choir will perform a mixed programme featuring works by Tŷ Cerdd’s Composer in Residence, Rhian Samuel, Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb and music from America, including Morten Lauridsen’s Sure on this Shining Night.
