CoDI one2one composers named

The recent call for CoDI one2one attracted a great amount of interest and we received 60 entries for the ten places on offer. The following composers have been commissioned to write a piece for an unaccompanied orchestral instrument.

 

Daniel Bickerton - OBOE (to be played by Steve Hudson)

Christopher Bond - TUBA (to be played by Daniel Trodden, principal tuba)

Gareth Bonello - CELLO (to be played by Alice Neary, principal cello)

Eloise Gynn - CELLO (to be played by Sandy Bartai)

Sarah Jenkins - VIOLIN (player to be announced)

Man Ting Leung - CLARINET (to be played by Robert Plane, principal clarinet)

Ashley John Long - FLUTE (to be played by Matthew Featherstone, principal flute)

Julia Plaut - BASSOON (to be played by Jarosƚaw Augustyniak, principal bassoon)

Natalie Roe - HORN (player to be announced)

Jack White - VIOLA (player to be announced)

Composers and performers will workshop the pieces online and the final works will be recorded in lockdown ready for publication in early June.
