JOB: Digital Communications Officer 09.10.23

National Youth Arts Wales wishes to recruit a full-time Digital Communications Officer to join the team.

  • Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience), paid monthly.

  • Contract: This is a full-time position on a three-year contract (with the possibility to renew at the end of that period) - job share arrangements considered

  • Deadline for applications: 11pm on Monday 9 October 2023

  • Fluency (written and spoken) in Welsh and English is essential for this role.

NYAW works in both Welsh and English, and fluency (written and spoken) in Welsh and English is essential for this role.

However, we’re adopting a flexible approach to recruitment to this role, and will consider applications from Welsh learners who wish to undertake this role on a job share basis with someone who is fluent in Welsh. If you wish to be considered for a job share, please make your preference clear when submitting your application.

The post-holder will be responsible for managing our digital presence across a number of platforms – including social media, website and email. A key part of the role will be to proactively work with NYAW’s producers, members and stakeholders to identify stories and to tell those stories in an engaging way.

This role, funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, will be a key part of our work to increase equity and diversity within our organisation, by engaging with partners and young people on the platforms that they use daily.

The success of the role will not just be measured by impressions or reach, but by how the digital communications strategy impacts on our organisational diversity targets, on the number of participants we’re able to recruit for our projects, and our fundraising and earned income targets.

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just have experience in digital communications, but how these tools can be used for social change, and for long-term engagement with young people.

How to Apply

  • To apply for the post please submit an up-to-date C.V. with a covering letter outlining your relevant experience and interest in the role.

  • Applications should be submitted via email to nyaw@nyaw.org.uk.

  • You can also apply via video which should be no longer than 5 minutes in duration.

  • Deadline for applications: 11pm on Monday 9 October 2023

Once you have emailed your application, please click on the link below to complete our Equal Opportunities form online. This will be kept separate from your expression of interest, and will help us to monitor the reach of our job adverts.
