CREAD - AND THEN WE CAME INTO A MYTH

Bob wythnos dyfeisiais ddarnau lleisiol i’r cyfranogwyr ddawnsio iddynt - ac mewn ymateb i ymarferion y coreograffydd Karol Cysewski. Pleser enfawr oedd canu i’r grŵp. Defnyddiais fy llais, gorsaf ddolenni a melodica; ymunodd y cyfranogwyr ar offerynnau taro ac roedden ni i gyd yn ddigon ffodus i gael y sacsoffonydd jazz a’r gwirfoddolwr Mani L-Wells yn ymuno â ni.
 
Roedd gan Karol a’r grŵp ffordd rwydd a thyner o symud. Mae rhai caneuon fel
Newidiadau, Changes, Symud, Three Waves yn ymateb i lif a mewnanadliad- allanadliad y grŵp. Ysbrydolwyd Prydferthwch y Dwylo gan symudiadau mynegol y dawnswyr.

Themes of the Elements a Creation of the Universe o rai o’r ymarferion llafar ro’n i wedi eu harwain lle bu’r cyfranogwyr yn ysgrifennu deunydd a olygwyd gen i yn nes ymlaen.
 
Mae
Dôn yn Creu’r Bydysawd wedi’i gyfansoddi o samplau sain o sesiynau ymarfer. Dw i’n dychmygu’r fam-dduwies Dôn yn creu’r byd â’i dwylo.

Each week I improvised vocals for participants to dance to – and in response to choreographer Karol Cysewski’s excercises.

Singing for the group was an enormous pleasure. I used voice, loop station and melodica; the participants joined on percussion; and we were all lucky to be joined by jazz saxophonist and volunteer Mani L-Wells.

Karol and the group had a gentle, fluid way of moving. Some songs such as Newidiadau, Changes, Symud, Three Waves are in response to the flow and inhalation-exhalation of the group. Prydferthwch y Dwylo (Beauty of the Hands) was inspired by the dancers’ expressive movements.

Themes of the Elements and Creation of the Universe emerged from some spoken word exercises I led, where the participants wrote material that I later edited.

Dôn yn Creu’r Bydywsawd is made from samples of rehearsal audio. I imagine Welsh mother Goddess Dôn, creating the world with her hands.
