Cardiff – a Sonic Map

5 sound-art micro commissions

a call to participants of the recent series of Sunset Walks and their networks

TÅ· Cerdd – Music Centre Wales – is offering five artists £200 each to create short audio recordings of music and/or sound art inspired by, or responding to, their local area of Cardiff.

The five pieces will form part of a sonic map being drawn together from the sound and music of young people from across the city.

Aleighcia Scott, Kiddus Murrell, Mace the Great, and Sahar Martinez will select the five artists from the applications received. Successful applicants will be commissioned to create a c.2-minute recording that will be integrated into the resulting Sonic Map by lead artist Kiddus Murrell.
