Lyn Davies has pursued a varied career as a composer, baritone soloist, choral director, broadcaster, teacher, lecturer, examiner, and arts administrator and is the former Chair of Tŷ Cerdd.  He was born in Llandybie, studied composition at the Krakow Music Academy with Penderecki, Schaffer, Buijarski an Stachowski and later gained his PhD from the University of Wales. The style of his choral compositions is generally tonal whilst his piano and chamber works tend to be more dissonant and ambitious.  Lyn Davies’s music is published by Curiad.
