Six composers developed new pieces for violin and electronics, supported by a series of intensive workshops in the Ty Cerdd studio with innovative violinist and performer Darragh Morgan. Under the guidance and mentorship of Darragh, and violinist and composer Angharad Davies, experimentation was at the core of the programme.

 

The music-creators worked with diverse approaches to both notation and electronics; featuring graphic scores, sampling, modular synthesiser, tape machine, fixed electronics and live processing. The pieces are currently in post-production, and due to be released later this year… more news on that soon.

The Ffidil Plws cohort are Richard McReynolds, Natalie Roe, Delyth Field, Joshua Lascar, Sara Evelyn and Joseph Graydon.

Datblygodd chwe chyfansoddwr ddarnau newydd ar gyfer ffidil ac electroneg, gyda chefnogaeth cyfres o weithdai dwys yn stiwdio Tŷ Cerdd gyda'r feiolinydd a'r perfformiwr arloesol Darragh Morgan.
