An informal sharing day in June marked the culmination of CoDI BŴM!, a two-year professional development strand supporting four early-career artists working with outdoor music and site-responsive sound.

During the programme, artists Ella Roberts, Francesca Simmons, Gwen Siôn, and Teifi Emerald explored themes of climate crisis, biodiversity, geopolitics, and listening. The sharing day - hosted at a very sunny Bute Park in Cardiff - featured a rich mix of live music, electro-acoustic performances, a participatory listening workshop, and a procession featuring wearable sonic costumes.

Delivered in partnership between Tŷ Cerdd and Oxford Contemporary Music (OCM), and with support from Articulture, CoDI BŴM! provided each artist with paid research and development time, support from producer Rosie Strang, and mentoring with Annie Grundy and Stavroula Kounadea. A series of gatherings throughout the process enabled the cohort to exchange ideas, share work-in-progress, and engage with leading artists working in outdoor and environmental sound art.

CoDI BŴM! was made possible with the support of from Arts Council of Wales, PRS Foundation and Jerwood Arts.
