Max enjoys a varied career that encompasses composition, orchestration and arrangement, conducting, performing, teaching, research and event management. He studied composition with William Mival as a Foundation Scholar at the Royal College of Music in London and went on to complete his MMus and PhD at Cardiff University with Anthony Powers. He is passionate about inspiring people with new music; whether through his work at UWE Bristol as a Senior Lecturer, developing collaborative composition projects with amateur ensembles, or working with professional musicians. He is open to working in any genre and is increasingly exploring potential roles for technology in his composition.
