CALL: In Motion 02.11.26
In Motion is Sound and Music's transformational 18-month artist development programme for original creators who are committed to challenging and evolving their practice and are ready to invest time, attention and energy in where it could go next. It is the UK’s only long-form, holistic and bespoke programme designed specifically around each artist’s creative ambitions.
We support up to 10 creators to design and embark on the next chapter of their creative and professional journey, providing the space, personalised support, funding, networks and skills development to realise their ambitions.
Built on our 18 years of artist development expertise, the programme is genuinely 'artist-centred', responding to the needs and strengths of each creator to help them build on and deepen their strengths, take creative risks and make positive and lasting changes in their practice.
Our alumni go on to make significant contributions across the musical ecology and the Sound and Music-funded projects continue to evolve for years. The end of our programme often marks the beginning of a new trajectory for the works and a new identity, ambition and era for the creators.
In Motion is made possible with the generous support of Arts Council England, PRS Foundation and Creative Scotland.
“Sound and Music stretched my imagination and ambitions, enabling me to realise my capabilities. It was a springboard, encouraging me to dream big and find new ways to inspire and empower audiences.”Chisara Agor, In Motion Alum
