Merthyr born Owain Hughes is a multi instrumentalist who has been on the Welsh music scene since the age of 15, playing in various bands and also leading his own projects. He graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2020 with first class honours in Jazz studies and is currently taking harmony and score study classes with teachers based at UCLA.

 

Owain is versatile musician who is very open minded when it comes to his creative endeavours. A keen composer and songwriter, he currently plays and writes for his own musical project 'Freshly Cut Grass' as well as working as a session musician and composer with various artists.
