Ar ôl bron i ddeng mlynedd ar hugain fel Cyfarwyddwr Corws gyda Chorws Cenedlaethol Cymreig y BBC, bydd Adrian Partington yn ymddeol o’i rôl gyda’r Corws yn nhymor 2027/28. Mae hwn yn gyfle unigryw i arweinydd corawl profiadol, brwdfrydig ac ysbrydoledig gymryd yr awenau a chwarae rhan weithredol yn y gwaith o gynnal a datblygu enw da Corws Cenedlaethol Cymreig y BBC ymhellach fel corws symffonig o’r radd flaenaf.

Bydd deiliad y swydd yn paratoi’r corws ar gyfer perfformiadau, darllediadau a recordiadau, ac yn helpu i siapio cyfeiriad artistig Corws Cenedlaethol Cymreig y BBC yn y dyfodol.Rydym yn chwilio am rywun sydd â phrofiad o gyfarwyddo corysau neu grwpiau lleisiol, sy’n gallu cynllunio a darparu ymarferion wythnosol difyr sy’n galluogi’r corws i gyflwyno perfformiadau o ansawdd proffesiynol, yn ogystal â chefnogi twf y corws a datblygu ei aelodaeth. Rydym yn chwilio am Gyfarwyddwr Corws a fydd â gwybodaeth helaeth am repertoire corawl symffonig a hyfforddiant lleisiol, ac a fydd â sgiliau rhyngbersonol a chyfathrebu cryf. Bydd yn datblygu proffil y Corws mewn ffordd ysbrydoledig, ddiddorol a chreadigol.

Bydd Cyfarwyddwr y Corws yn cysylltu’n uniongyrchol â’r tîm artistig yng Ngherddorfa a Chorws Cenedlaethol Cymreig y BBC i siapio’r cyfraniad corawl at allbwn artistig y Gerddorfa mewn cyngherddau ac mewn darllediadau.

Following almost thirty years as Chorus Director of the BBC National Chorus of Wales (BBC NCW), Adrian Partington is retiring from his role with the BBC NCW in the 2027/28 season. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and inspiring choral conductor to take over the reins and play an active role in maintaining and further developing the BBC NCW’s reputation as a world-class symphonic chorus.

The post holder will prepare the chorus for performances, broadcasts and recordings, and help shape the future artistic direction of BBC National Chorus of Wales. We are looking for someone with experience directing choruses or vocal groups, who can plan and deliver engaging weekly rehearsals that enable the chorus to achieve professional-quality performances while supporting the growth and development of its membership. We are seeking a Chorus Director that will have extensive knowledge of symphonic choral repertoire and vocal training, and will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. They will be inspiring, engaging and creative in developing the profile of the Chorus.

The Chorus Director will liaise directly with the artistic team at the BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales to shape the choral contribution to the Orchestra’s artistic output in concert and in broadcast.
