27.11.26 Peter Reynolds: A Celebration
On 27 November there will be a series of events which celebrate the life and works of Peter Reynolds – a composer, teacher, friend, and mentor to many – marking ten years since his death in 2016. This is a cross-organisational collaboration between Cardiff University, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and Tŷ Cerdd | Music Wales. The schedule is below:
We begin with a lunchtime concert Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama’s Dora Stoutzker Hall, 13:15-14:00
This will be followed by an afternoon of talks, discussion and live performances exploring the impact of Peter Reynolds's work and his place in Welsh music – led by Steph Power at RWCMD’s Weston Gallery from 14:30.
14:30-15:30 Talks including live music. Speakers: Ashley John-Long, Alex Thacker, and Philip May
15:30 Short break
15:45-17:00 Open discussion with members of the former PM Ensemble, founded by Peter. Joining us will be Lynne Plowman, Michael Rafferty, Verity Fielding and Andrew Wilson-Dickson.
