Anarchy Wølf launches new album at Inclusive Club Night in Bangor on 29 November
Mental State – single and album by Anarchy Wølf
North-Walian rapper Anarchy Wølf will launch his debut album, Mental State, at Bwthyn Sonig’s first ever North Wales inclusive club night, at Pontio on Friday 29 November.
Mathew, the man behind the music and a born-and-bred Bangor-lad now living in Caernarfon, has been writing his own lyrics since he was ten years old. Following a childhood filled to the brim with musical influences, now he’s launching an album of original songs with songs including ‘Mental State’ and ‘Manifest', a song written and performed with his best friend, Josh, in the Maesgeirchen youth club when we they were younger with a project called Letters Grow.
Anarchy Wølf’s album has been developed through the Bwthyn Sonig project at Canolfan Gerdd William Mathias, with mentoring from Elin Taylor. Bwthyn Sonig is a TÅ· Cerdd-led initiative that works with learning-disabled music creators, supporting them to develop music and performance. Mathew has been participating in Bwthyn Sonig since 2022.
Writing and creating music has been a lifeline for Mathew, and has always been a way for him to process difficult emotions and big life events. Inspired by a wide range of bands and genres, from Linken Park to Joy Division and Green Day, his music is a fiery combination of alternative rock and rap. He has been a member of many community-based groups including Agorad, Maesgeirchen’s youth club and TÅ· Cegin, Annedd Ni, and is currently an avid member of Canfod y Gân and Côr Makaton in Caernarfon.
Bwthyn Sonig Inclusive Club Night will be held at Pontio Stiwdio on 29 November: a night of music by and for people with and without learning disabilities. Featuring special guest headliners Electric Fire alongside Anarchy Wølf’s album launch, and a host of local artists.

Sionci is TÅ· Cerdd’s artist-led label sitting alongside the existing marque TÅ· Cerdd Records. Sionci has been conceived to enable creative- and career-development for artists, cross-genre. Artists can take control of any of all of parts of the process – from recording and producing, to artwork and promotion – and are offered a more favourable royalty split than a regular label.
