Tŷ Cerdd is home to a professional recording studio that is used to record music by contemporary classical Welsh composers.
There is a large 'live room' (36' by 24'), provided with a 7' 4" Bösendorfer grand piano perfect for chamber and solo recital recordings. Our clients include Bryn Terfel, BBC, Rebecca Evans, S4C, Jem, Llŷr Williams, Only Men Aloud, Wynne Evans and Welsh National Opera.
For Tŷ Cerdd's member societies the organisation's producers and engineers also offer a mobile recording service. They can travel to record concerts and rehearsals with their high specification mobile equipment. Recordings will be edited, mixed and mastered back in the studios at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff.
Tŷ Cerdd can help plan and organise your project, offering both creative and technical advice. We can help with music arrangements, scoring, composition and sound design and we are highly experienced in many aspects of post production including audio editing, mixing, mastering, and mixing to film.
We also run a full post-master service that includes; MCPS license application, cover artwork, CD duplication and digital distribution.
Alongside music production Tŷ Cerdd now runs a publishing house that represents some of Wales's foremost composers, including Charlie Barber, Gareth Wood, Richard John and Jeffrey Howard.
"Tŷ Cerdd represents excellent value for money, with a professional and friendly working environment and a great sound on the final product."
