Nik Bizzell-Browning 1961

Nik studied composition with Professor's Jonathan Harvey and Martin Butler in the 1990’s & continues to experiment with an eclectic range of styles. He’s currently undertaking a PHD in composition under the supervision of Peter Wiegold, predominantly notating panrhythmic instrumental ensemble works for live performance on traditional instruments, & interested in working with any ensembles/performers that are able to… “Adhere to tempi (find the grooves) & be spectacular”.

Recent work includes the release of a 12” music & spoken word vinyl LP “The Dice Man Speaks” in collaboration with Luke Rhinehart (author of “The Dice Man” - www.lukerhinehart.net/music). Nik’s Pieces Last Train to San Diego & 3 for the price of 1 were both premiered in the USA, & various pieces have been aired on BBC Radio 3 (Late Junction), BBC Radio Wales & Radio Cymru.

As a drummer, Nik has toured extensively, and (under the pen-name Sputnik Weazel) written, recorded, produced & released over 200 original songs. His career as a performer ranges from busking with Eddie Izzard in the 80’s to supporting Alice Cooper with "The Men They Couldn't Hang" (TMTCH). Nik was the drummer with TMTCH from 2011-2015, playing drums & piano on their critically acclaimed (crowd funded album) The Defiant.
