CoDI unveils artist roster for 2026/27 season
We are delighted to announce the names of those selected for this year's Composer Development Initiative (CoDI) creative programme.
They have been drawn from a diverse range of genres such as electronic, improvisatory, traditional, jazz and contemporary classical music and include song-writers, sound designers, improvisers and interdisciplinary artists.
The selected musicians will each take part in one of four pathways:
Arrange will bring together three musicians working primarily in traditional music and three working primarily in jazz, creating a unique space where participants can learn from one another, exchange ideas and explore different approaches to arranging across genres. Meet the Arrange artists
Pulse offers five Wales-based music-creators the opportunity to explore and develop creative approaches to composing for voice and percussion (a combination of tuned and untuned instruments), through a series of workshops. Meet the Pulse artists
Resonance is a three-day intensive residential of workshops, listening sessions and practice sharing for artists who want to expand their work and experimentation with voice and electronics. Meet the Resonance artists
Weave offers 5 Wales-based music-creators the opportunity to explore and develop new approaches to writing for voice and string quartet. Meet the Weave artists
