Welsh composer, producer and arranger Andrew Powell celebrates his 75th birthday on 18 April with a new album of his music for brass and electronics.
The disc includes works from the past 25 years including Plasmogeny II for solo trumpet, tape and live electronics which he wrote for his life-long friend, the trumpet virtuoso John Wallace. Also featured is Ritual for double brass quintet which was commissioned by the Wallace Collection with the help of funds provided by Tŷ Cerdd. full info
