We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Jordan Price Williams as Tŷ Cerdd’s Traditional Music Development Manager. This brand-new role is funded by ACW, following their recent review of Traditional Music in Wales, and Jordan will be working with the Tŷ Cerdd staff team, and in partnership with ACW, to support artists and communities engaged in Traditional Music of all kinds.
Jordan said:
"This feels like a real turning point for traditional music in Wales, and I feel incredibly fortunate to play a part in the development work our community urgently needs. It’s an exciting opportunity made even better by working alongside the brilliant team at Tŷ Cerdd. We’ve already started laying the groundwork to create meaningful opportunities for artists and everyday music-makers to connect, collaborate, and thrive.”
Jordan is an award-winning traditional musician and founding member of folk trio VRï with whom he has toured internationally and released two critically acclaimed albums. Known for his deep-rooted fluency in the Welsh tradition and creative cross-genre work, Jordan performs at major festivals, composes new repertoire and leads inclusive folk projects, such as the Ffidil Fawr fiddle weekend and Bagad Grwndi, Wales’ first community fiddle orchestra.
